Tithing

The Bible teaches us a baseline standard for giving called the tithe. When we give the first 10% of our income to the church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith and love for God and others. We return to the Lord 10% of what He has given us because it belongs to Him.

Offerings

Offerings are what we give while stewarding the resources God has given us, including time, talents, spiritual gifts and finances. This includes regular financial giving and one time generous gift offerings. River Valley Church is run and operated on the consistent obedience, faithfulness and cheerful generosity of our church family through tithes and offerings.
